Now if newspapers would simply disclose their ADA score prominently on the front page, there would be no problem. The issue is the pretence of objectivity. Indeed, why not supplement news items with the cumulative ADA scores of the individual jouranalists? Given that journalists today seem to regard themselves as having an agenda ('to watch the government', or 'to look out for the little guy' or whatever) the situation is broadly analogous to articles published in scientific journals, in which disclosure of author's interests is increasingly required.Media Bias Is Real, Finds UCLA Political Scientist... 12/14/2005
While the editorial page of The Wall Street Journal is conservative, the newspaper's news pages are liberal, even more liberal than The New York Times. The Drudge Report may have a right-wing reputation, but it leans left. Coverage by public television and radio is conservative compared to the rest of the mainstream media. Meanwhile, almost all major media outlets tilt to the left.
